Void Club - Game Review

Introduction

The Void Club is the final release combining all the chapters of the games with the same name. It is the culmination of a whopping 29 chapters and acts as the hub to access said chapters and a game in itself. Let's find out what The Void Club brings to the table, shall we?

Story

The story is as deep as a game about fucking hot babes can get, that doesn't mean you won't get involved in it though. The dialogues are funny, even hilarious at times and the plot is engaging. You are the typical stereotype of a loser living in his mom's house and jerking off all day, but as luck would have it, you get a pop-up while watching porn to a job offer. You try to click on the x to close the pestering ad but you miss and your application gets sent. From there you become the new manager for The Void Club. You will get introduced to the characters, the club, and the portal which the story revolves around. The plot thickens.

Graphics

The colors are vibrant and the art style is clean. Sex scenes are a little lacking as there are no options at all to change the speed, angles, etc... They are ultimately drawings put back to back to create frames. Think GIFs. However, everything that truly matters is detailed, sex scenes, characters, and backgrounds. Main characters especially have features that are elaborately drawn and do make quite the impression. There will be familiar faces that you might have seen in other games and/or tv shows and anime. The rest is drawn in an amateurish fashion, then again that's not what you will give your attention to.

Sound

The sound effects of The Void Club are... lacking, as in there are none. Menus, characters, and events happening in the game are all silent but it's better to have no sound effects than bad ones. Nothing like a moan to ruin the mood right? When it comes to music you get to enjoy the same track looped again and again. It is however a nice relaxing tune that will act as a white noise to kill the otherwise silent experience. In a long session of gameplay, silence can become very loud.

Gameplay

Speaking of gameplay let's talk about it. As mentioned you are a manager so yes, you guessed it you have to MANAGE. Your main goal is to make the club popular and make money, that, and advancing the story of course. Your duty is to assign girls to various TASKs, cleaning, serving drinks, pole dancing amongst other jobs you'd expect to see in a strip club. You will have an energy system to do all of that, you won't have to spend energy on all those interactions but when you finally get exhausted you will have to go back to your house to recharge your batteries. As the manager you will have to pay your girls, but don't worry there is a convenient menu option to pay all of them. It would be tedious to go through all of your employees one by one. When it comes to the menu it could be a touch more ergonomic. The "map" is more like a big hub that you have to navigate through room by room by clicking on the arrows pointing to the respective zones. Very reminiscent of games like the Ace Attorney series or Professor Layton. You won't have to solve any mysteries though. Or will you? The plot has mystery elements to it after all.

Conclusion

The Void Club is a management game but do not be intimidated. It is quite easy and getting the hang of it is no rocket science. You'll come to like or dislike characters, you will want to know more about the famous portal. That same portal to other worlds is how you will access the previous chapters of the whole series and is also how you will unlock the rarer and more exotic girls for the club. A simple "password" that you type in the portal keyboard will let you do that. But I don't want to spoil the fun of finding them out by yourself now do I? The world of The Void Club is charming and the whole setting helps to get immersed in it. I just wish there was an easier way like an actual map to cruise this vast world.
